Pursuant to the provisions of the Lacey Act, Customs will begin to enforce the declaration requirement for merchandise in HTS chapter 44 May 1, 2009. Although this date reflects a delayed beginning of enforcement, electronic submission of information is now being accepted. Please review the Lacey Act information if this might pertain to your imports, and contact us if you require additional assistance.
